KCR assures all support to HMR

Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao assured all support to the innovative measures being taken by the authorities of L&T to make the Hyderabad Metro Rail more efficient

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao appreciated the Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) for serving as a safe public transport system for passengers during the Covid-19 pandemic. He assured all support to the innovative measures being taken by the authorities of L&T to make the Hyderabad Metro Rail more efficient.

During a meeting held at Pragathi Bhavan here on Friday, the L&T authorities sought the State government’s support in the wake of the HMR suffering severe losses due to the Covid pandemic and subsequent lockdown.


Responding positively, the Chief Minister directed the officials to examine the possibility of the State government extending necessary assistance to the L&T with regards to Hyderabad Metro Rail in compliance with the regulations. He instructed them to submit a report at the earliest.

Home Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali, Roads and Buildings Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy, Telangana State Planning Board vice-chairman B Vinod Kumar, Chief secretary Somesh Kumar, CMO Principal Secretary S Narsing Rao, DGP M Mahender Reddy, Principal Secretary for Finance K Ramakrishna Rao, L&T chief operating officer and managing director SN Subramaniam, HMR managing director NVS Reddy, and other officials were present.
