Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao appreciated the Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) for serving as a safe public transport system for passengers during the Covid-19 pandemic. He assured all support to the innovative measures being taken by the authorities of L&T to make the Hyderabad Metro Rail more efficient.
During a meeting held at Pragathi Bhavan here on Friday, the L&T authorities sought the State government’s support in the wake of the HMR suffering severe losses due to the Covid pandemic and subsequent lockdown.
Responding positively, the Chief Minister directed the officials to examine the possibility of the State government extending necessary assistance to the L&T with regards to Hyderabad Metro Rail in compliance with the regulations. He instructed them to submit a report at the earliest.
