KT Rama Rao highlights Hyderabad’s rise as startup hub at ISBACON-2024
He shared his vision for promoting startups to attract investments and create employment opportunities in Telangana, explaining that the establishment of T-Hub was rooted in the belief that equipping young talent with the right financial resources would result in significant achievements.

Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao emphasized the Hyderabad’s emergence as a key destination for startups, driven by innovation, infrastructure and inclusive growth. Speaking as the chief guest at the Indian Steps and Business Incubators Association (ISBACON-2024) conference held at CCMB in Tarnaka, he highlighted the city’s thriving startup ecosystem.
Sharing his vision of promoting startups to attract investments and create employment opportunities in Telangana, he explained that the establishment of T-Hub was based on the belief that providing young talent with the right financial resources would lead to remarkable achievements.
He proudly recounted the growth story of T-Hub, his brainchild, which has become the largest incubator center in the country under the names T-Hub, T-Works, and Image Towers. Starting with a capacity of 2,000 startup companies, the success of T-Hub led to the creation of T-Works and Image Towers, which now guide 5,000 startups in one location.
In 2014, Hyderabad had only 200 startup companies, but today, it boasts over 5,000. He expressed pride in Ratan Tata‘s praise of T-Hub as the face of modern India. The former IT minister highlighted the establishment of T-Hub, T-Works, Image Towers, TASK, and WE-Hub to support young entrepreneurs, women, and rural youth in transforming their business ideas into reality.
He noted that a Hyderabad-based startup played a crucial role in India’s first indigenous satellite launch. Hyderabad’s startups achieve an annual turnover of $3.5 billion, and the success of the incubators brings immense satisfaction, he noted, emphasizing the need to extend this ecosystem to Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities to foster further growth and innovation.
