After the gang members escaped, the occupants of the house alerted the neighbours, who in turn informed the police. The police arrived and started an investigation.
Special teams of the Commissioner’s Task Force, Central Crime Station and local police swung into action to nab the robbers.
The police on checking the footage of the closed-circuit cameras installed in the house and roads found the robbers after committing the offence took an auto-rickshaw and escaped. The police have alerted all the Government Railway Police, Railway Protection Force and the SSB on the Nepal border.
