Karimnagar: BRS working president KT Rama Rao found fault with the State government for canceling house sites allocated to journalists in Karimnagar town by the previous BRS government.

Rama Rao, in a statement on Monday, said the Congress government led by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy was unable to digest the allocation of house sites to journalists, who were always working for the wellbeing of the society. While houses of poor people were being demolished in Hyderabad, house sites of journalists were taken back in Karimnagar, he said, questioning the governance in the State.

Terming the move shameful, he said it was not proper on the part of the government to take back house sites instead of working for the welfare of journalists. The Congress had developed a grudge against scribes as they were questioning the governance, he said, adding that ahead of the festival, the Revanth Reddy government had given a big shock to journalists.

Questioning the need to cancel sanctioned house sites, he said the BRS would fight the State government against such injustice and demanded that the State revoke its decision.
