Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao lashed out at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, questioning whether bulldozer justice applied only to the poor, while illegal constructions of the Chief Minister’s brother and Congress Ministers remained untouched.

“When is the bulldozer going to the illegal houses of the Chief Minister’s brother and Cabinet Ministers who have built on Full Tank Level (FTL) lands of water bodies? Is this justice only for the voiceless? Yeh hai kya aapki mohabbat ki dukaan?” he asked, referring to reports of an auto-rickshaw driver attempting suicide after his house was demolished in Peerzadiguda.

In a series of posts on X, Rama Rao also accused the Congress government of criminal negligence and incompetence in handling recent tragedies, from the SLBC tunnel collapse to the Sigachi industry accident and Hyderabad floods. He said even after four days, the bodies of three people who were washed away in floodwaters in the State capital were not recovered, exposing the government’s inefficiency in saving lives or offering dignity in death.

Calling it an inhuman regime, the BRS working president said the Revanth Reddy government was more interested in exploiting the poor while enriching the powerful. He condemned the drastic pay cuts for HYDRAA employees to Rs 5,000 and for staff in minority educational institutions to Rs 10,000–15,000 per month, while splurging Rs 200 crore on beauty pageants. “Is this governance or plain betrayal?” he asked. He said the State was being drowned in debt for the benefit of the Congress high command and its associates.
