Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao reiterated the party’s commitment to its core Telangana agenda and stated that the party rededicated itself under the leadership of K Chandrashekhar Rao to safeguard the State’s interests. He asserted that the party’s pink flag represented the struggle of people who endured decades of injustice.

Celebrating the 26th Formation Day of BRS, Rama Rao hoisted the party flag at Telangana Bhavan on Monday. Legislative Council Leader of the Opposition S Madhusudhanachari, MLAs, MPs and other senior leaders also participated in the celebrations. On the occasion, they paid paid tributes to Professor Jayashankar and Telangana martyrs.

Speaking on the occasion, Rama Rao accused both the Congress and the BJP of pushing the State towards chaotic governance and called for united resistance. He exuded confidence that Chandrashekhar Rao would return as Chief Minister in 2028. He urged party cadres and supporters to remain united and work towards restoring a stable and development-focused leadership in the State.

He recalled that BRS was founded 25 years ago by K Chandrashekhar Rao after he resigned from key posts to fight for a separate Telangana State. He said the party played a central role in mobilising people and achieving statehood after years of struggle. He reminded that the party played its role in the statehood movement for 14 years, followed by being the ruling party for a decade and now as the principal opposition. He vowed that the BRS would continue to act as the voice of the people and fight for their rights against the Congress’s misrule.
