Hyderabad: A woman who reported missing on Thursday was traced by the Malakpet police and reunited with her son on Friday morning.

Following a complaint lodged by her son Shankar Sha that she was not to be seen from 4 pm, police constables Naveen Kumar and Sandeep started searching for her from around 10 pm on Thursday.
“They searched for her in all surrounding places and enquired with the local residents. While the search was still on, we received a call from a citizen at 3.20 am on Friday saying he had seen her near the Dabeerpura bridge,” police said.
The police officers rushed to the spot and brought her back to Malakpet, after which she was reunited with her son. A video of the reunion tweeted by DCP (East Zone) M. Ramesh and retweeted by the official handle of the Hyderabad City Police on Friday is seeing several citizens applauding the action of the two constables who spent almost the entire night searching for the elderly woman, while her son too has expressed his gratitude to the officers.
