Malkajgiri MLA Marri Rajasekhar Reddy urges HMDA to de-notify affected colonies
Malkajgiri MLA Marri Rajasekhar Reddy met HMDA Commissioner Sarfaraz Ahmed and CPO Ravinder Reddy in Hyderabad, submitting a representation to de‑notify colonies affected by the HMDA Master Plan. He argued it was unfair to trouble residents who have lived in these areas for decades.

Hyderabad: Malkajgiri MLA Marri Rajasekhar Reddy on Wednesday met HMDA Commissioner Sarfaraz Ahmed and HMDA CPO Ravinder Reddy at the HMDA Commissioner’s office in Swarnajayanthi Complex, Ameerpet, and submitted a representation requesting the de-notification of colonies affected by the HMDA Master Plan.
On this occasion, the MLA brought the problems of the affected colonies to the attention of the officials and clarified that it was unfair to cause difficulties to people in areas where they have been living for many years under the guise of the Master Plan.
Areas for which de-notification was requested included Gautam Nagar Division – Veerjalaguda Survey Numbers: 704, 705 (16-125 & 16-126/1) 754/3, 755/2 (15-70) 711 (16-84) 762/5 & 763/7 (16-132/1), Macha Bollaram Division – Koukur Village, Alwal Mandal Survey Numbers: 11, 35, 50, 56 and in Vinayaka Nagar Division, the MLA requested that the proposed 100-foot road from Kamala Nagar to Neredmet be removed from the Master Plan.
Marri Rajasekhar Reddy urged the authorities to take appropriate action on this issue to protect the people’s right to life, and clarified that he would raise the matter at the government level if necessary.
BRS leaders Mekala Ramu Yadav, Anil Kishore Goud, Doli Ramesh, Lakshman Yadav, Chandu, Hemant Patel, Sampath Yadav, representatives from the colonies, and other residents participated in this programme. Kakatiya Nagar South and East Colony president Dasharath, vice president CV Srihari, Gutti Ramchander, and others were also present.
