Students present a dance performance on the premises of Carmel Convent High School in Mancherial on Sunday.
Mancherial: Students from Carmel Convent High School, Mancherial, celebrated the 76th Republic Day with patriotism and enthusiasm on the premises of the institution here on Sunday. Anudhavana Monastery was the chief guest of the celebrations.
The celebrations began with the unfurling of the National Flag by the Chief Guest, accompanied by the singing of the National Anthem, instilling a sense of pride and patriotism among all present.
Father Ebin, inspired the gathering with his words of wisdom and a message on the importance of unity and responsibility in shaping the nation.
The programme featured a variety of cultural performances by the students, highlighting India’s rich heritage and diversity. The students from the primary and high school sections presented dance shows, patriotic songs, and skits, reflecting the spirit of the Republic.
A speech on the significance of Republic Day was delivered by one of the students. Special recognition was given to students excelling in academics, sports, and other extra-curricular activities.
Sister Tressa, the Vicar Provincial and Vice President of the Carmel Education Society, Sister Roselite, the former Provincial and ex-President of the Carmel Education Society, were the Guests of Honour. Sister Rincy, the Principal of Carmel Convent High School (State Board), and Sister Rinet, Principal of the CBSE wing and teachers were present for the occasion.
