Protesting junior medicos at the MGMH Warangal on Wednesday.
Warangal Urban: Junior doctors serving at Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital (MGMH) staged a dharna in support of their various demands here on Wednesday.
They demands include clearance of 15 per cent stipend hike from January 2020 instead of January 2021 regarding which the government issued a GO recently.
The protesting junior doctors stated that the mortality rate among doctors was high for the past two years and wanted safety of life in all terms including ex-gratia as announced by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.
The junior doctors demanded that the government issue a circular ensuring free treatment for Health Care Workers (HCWs) and their family members besides 10 per cent incentive as announced by the State government. The strike by the junior doctors affected medical services at MGMH and the public found fault with the doctors’ strike during Covid pandemic.
