No talks with Maoists, Centre to continue crackdown, says Bandi Sanjay

Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar
Karimnagar: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, has ruled out any peace talks with Maoist insurgents, declaring that the government will intensify its crackdown until the extremists disarm.
While addressing media after unveiling a Hanuman statue in Kothapalli near Karimnagar, Kumar responded to appeals from Maoist groups, political parties, and other organizations calling for dialogue.
“There’s no question of talking to those who kill innocent people and take up arms,” he said. Referring to past incidents, Kumar noted that Congress-led governments had banned Maoist groups after they targeted leaders from Congress, BJP, TDP, and others using landmines and violence.
He also accused Naxalites of murdering innocent tribal people, falsely branding them as police informers, and destabilizing poor families. The government, he said, will not relent until Maoists surrender their weapons.
Kumar went on to describe the Modi-led government’s caste census as “historic,” and criticized the Congress party for trying to claim ownership of the initiative.
“There’s a huge difference. Congress’s caste census harmed backward classes. The state government even underreported BC numbers deliberately,” he alleged.
He further accused the Congress of staging political drama to divert attention from its failure to fulfill the six guarantees it had promised.
