Municipal elections in Telangana: Final polling station lists and electoral rolls to be published from January 12

The State Election Commission has announced the publication schedule for final electoral rolls and polling station lists across Telangana. Ward-wise rolls will be released on January 12, followed by polling station details on January 16. Draft lists will be uploaded on Te-Poll on January 13.

Hyderabad: The polling station list and polling station-wise Photo Electoral Rolls’ final details will be published on January 16 at Collectors, Municipal Commissioners’ Offices, DEAs, RDO and Tahsildars’ offices.

Similarly, the ward-wise Photo Electoral Rolls final publication would be on January 12. The draft polling stations list will be published and uploaded on Te-Poll on January 13. These details were shared by State Election Commissioner I Rani Kumudini during a meeting with representatives of recognised political parties in the State here on Thursday.

The Photo Electoral Rolls and polling stations details of 366 wards in six corporations and 2,630 wards in 117 municipalities are to be published as per the above-mentioned dates.

Meanwhile, Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) C Sudarshan Reddy directed all District Collectors and District Election Officers to give wide publicity to the phone numbers of Booth Level Officers (BLOs). He also asked them to actively promote the ‘Book-a-Call with BLO’ facility available on the Election Commission of India’s ECINET platform to improve voter mapping and verification.

In a memo issued here, the CEO said the initiative would enable electors to directly contact their respective BLOs through the ECINET system to correct and validate their details during the ongoing electoral roll revision process.

The memo instructed officials to ensure that Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) immediately update any changes in BLO contact numbers on the ERO Net platform.
