Minister Indrakaran Reddy turns a large LED screen in Nirmal on Wednesday
Nirmal: Forest Minister Allola Indrakaran Reddy inaugurated a 4K Light Emitting Diode (LED) screen meant for publicity of government schemes, on the premises of the Collectorate here on Wednesday. This is the first such screen in the State.
Indrakaran said that details and objectives of both developmental programmes and welfare schemes would be displayed through the screen. He stated that the public would be able to understand the programmes and schemes with the help of the screen. “Being a native of the district, I am happy to inaugurate the facility,” he stated.
The minister further said that the preventive measures of Covid-19 pandemic, initiatives implemented by the Women and Child Welfare department and many other departments would be exhibited on the screen measuring 8-foot width and 12-foot height. He appreciated Collector Musharraf Ali Farooqui and Additional Collector Hemanth Borkade for taking a special interest in setting up the screen.
Later, Indrakaran Reddy flagged off a Tree Ambulance to be used for planting saplings in place of dried ones due to lack of water, under the social forestry programme. He stated that the vehicle would always carry saplings. He requested the public to protect saplings and to grow greenery. He added that the ambulance was arranged for the first time in the State.
Municipal chairperson Gandrath Eshwar, Zilla Parishad chairperson K Vijayalaxmi, Collector Musharraf Ali Farooqui and Additional Collectors Hemanth Borkade, P Rambabu, District Rural Development Organization Project Director Vijayalaxmi, Nirmal Revenue Divisional Officer Rathod Ramesh, councilors and public representatives were present.
