On March 2, the thieves stole Rs 30 lakhs at SBI ATM in Ravirala village. The police investigation revealed that the accused came to Hyderabad in flight from Delhi and committed the offence.

The Commissioner said the gang burgled the ATM in just about three minutes and fled the spot within six minutes and mostly ATMs belonging to HDFC and SBI were targeted.

ATMs were burgled in Kushaiguda, BDL Banur, Odisha in the past by the gang. A person named Rahul from Hyderabad is the key mastermind.

The gang, from Mewat district of Haryana, cut the ATM with gas cutters, sprayed paint on the CCTV cameras and wore masks on their faces before escaping with Rs 29,69,900 in just 6 minutes.

The Adibatla police registered a case and conducted an investigation for 22 days. These thieves, who hail from Mewat district, earlier committed thefts on the borders of Delhi, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.

They also committed thefts in other states and then flee to their native places. There have also been instances of robberies on the Outer Ring Road in the past.
