Kothagudem: MLA Vanama Venkateshwara Rao said the process of SCCL lands regularisation and distribution of pending pattas under GO No 76 would be completed by the time of Deepavali festival.
He held a review meeting with RDO Swarnalatha, Sub-Registrar Ram Kumar and Tahsildar PV Ramakrishna here on Friday. Later, speaking to the media, he said the officials were directed to speed up the process of the regularisation of lands.

The MLA said following the requests from the residents who built houses on SCCL lands in coal belt areas across the State, the issue of land regularisation was taken to the notice of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and hence the GO 76 was issued the GO in Aug 2019 for regularising the lands.
7,046 applications
A total of 7,046 applications have been submitted online and the survey of 5,876 houses was completed of which 3,739 applications were recommended for issuing pattas while 1,415 applications were rejected.
So far, conveyance deeds were distributed to 2,600 residents of whom the registration of 1,017 houses was done by charging a nominal fee of Rs 500. The survey of 1,170 houses was yet to be done and proceedings copies were yet to be distributed to around 1,100 residents, the MLA said.
Venkateshwara Rao said due to various reasons and Covid pandemic there has been a delay in processing the applications. In order to expedite the survey of houses a total of 15 teams have been constituted now and the pattas would be handed over to the residents by the time of Deepavali.
He said the officials were told not to give any scope for irregularities, corruption or influence of middlemen in surveying the lands or in issuing the pattas. If anyone was found to be involved in irregularities strict action would be initiated against them.
The MLA further informed that as per the GO 76 the cutoff date for regularising the lands was June 2014. After the present regularisation was completed the Chief Minister would be requested to regularise the lands on which houses were built after June 2014.
