Hyderabad: The Second Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs) from across Telangana staged a protest on Monday in front of the Medical and Health Services Recruitment Board (MHSRB) office at Koti, demanding the immediate release of results for the Multi-Purpose Health Worker (Female) examination conducted in December 2024.
Accompanied by senior AITUC leaders, including state president Md Yusuf and deputy general secretary M Narasimha, the protesting ANMs questioned the authorities over the prolonged delay in announcing the exam results.
Yusuf and Narasimha cautioned that further delay could result in contract ANMs above 50 years of age losing valuable service years. “We urge the state government to respond and release the results without further delay,” they said.
The State Government had earlier assured that all Second ANMs who do not get selected in the MPHW exam would be provided with 100 percent gross salary, in addition to Rs 10 lakh health insurance and Rs 10 lakh life insurance coverage by the government.
The protestors also demanded the public disclosure of the report by the three-member committee previously constituted to examine ANM-related issues. They stated that releasing the report would help in resolving the long-pending concerns of Second ANMs.
They warned that if the government continued to delay the results and ignore the issues of Second ANMs, AITUC would be forced to launch a larger agitation.
