Hyderabad: SWAN (Save Water And Nature) organized a large-scale Forest Clean-Up Drive at Mambapur–Gummadidla and Narsapur Forests under the leadership of Meghana Musunuri, Founder & Chairperson, Sridhar Vunnam, General Secretary, and Koyya Sudha Rani, Principal of Fountainhead Global School.
The drive witnessed the participation of over 150 volunteers, including students, parents, teachers, and community members. The active involvement of children highlighted the importance of nurturing environmental responsibility among future generations.
As part of SWAN’s ongoing initiatives following World Environment Day 2026, more than 500 volunteers collectively removed significant quantities of waste from the forests. The waste was segregated and sent for recycling, reinforcing SWAN’s commitment to sustainable waste management.
Students also conducted an awareness rally and a Nukkad Natak (street play) to educate the public on the dangers of littering and feeding wild animals, emphasizing the impact of plastic waste on wildlife and ecosystems.
