The actress has left for Alibaug, where she will be celebrating Holi on Friday and then her birthday on Saturday, said a source close to IANS.

Celebrating the milestone, Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram stories and dropped a couple of sketches of her iconic character from "Gangubai Kathiawadi", along with the caption, "#3YearsOfGangubaiKathiawadi".

Discussing the increasing roles for North East talents in Bollywood, Chum told IANS, "Writers need to put in more effort, reimagine some characters, and write more for people from the North-East. I believe things are already changing."

Alia skipped the event due to a family emergency. Alia's maternal grandfather, Narendra Razdan, is reportedly not well.

True to her exploits and status in the film industry, Alia took home the Best Actor award with her performance in 'Gangubai Kathiawadi'.
