Banswada MLA Pocharam Srinivas Reddy has defended his criticism of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s administration, saying he only spoke the truth. He denied any political motive, backed development works by both BRS and Congress governments in his constituency.

BRS MLA Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, now aligned with Congress, admitted to winning on the BRS symbol and pledged to abide by the Speaker’s decision on his defection. Addressing party workers in Banswada, he defended his move citing developmental goals and denied any personal gain, even offering to resign if proven otherwise. The Speaker is set to resume hearings on Friday.

According to reports, water was overflowing from the 7th distributor of the Nizam Sagar main canal into the open space causing inundation.

He said the people would understand that his meek surrender to the Congress leadership owed to crumbs of cheap favours.
