Hydraa Commissioner AV Ranganath inspected Bathukamma Kunta on Wednesday to review ongoing lake development works. He instructed officials to complete pathways, tree plantation, and seating facilities before Dasara, while stressing the need for proper inlets and outlets at the lake.
As officials commenced digging works, excitement built up among the personnel involved in the assignment, on finding water. Initial reports said it was due to a pipeline bursting, but officials later clarified that there was no underground pipeline network in the area
Residents in Bathukamma Kunta, Ashok Nagar, Rukmini Kunta, Kalki Nagar, Devunipally, Housing Board Colony and GR Colony are worried a lot as municipal officials are preparing to demolish a few structures in these areas.
