Telangana is witnessing a surge in late-stage cancer diagnoses due to extremely low screening rates. The 2026 NCDIR report reveals that most cases are detected only after metastasis, with tobacco use and breast, cervical, and oral cancers posing major public health challenges.
Apollo Cancer Centres have introduced ‘End-O Check,’ a targeted early detection initiative aimed at women aged 45 and above. The program emphasizes screening for endometrial and ovarian cancers through awareness, proactive diagnostics like transvaginal ultrasonography, and timely medical intervention.
The camp, which will be held between 10 and 6 pm in the hospital premises, is offering cancer preventive tests worth more than Rs. 10,000 for free of cost.
Aimed at screening non-communicable diseases like diabetes, hypertension, heart health, obesity and cancer, the bus will conduct camps in Malapalli, Thadbiloli, Neela, Satapur and Renjarla in the next seven days.
