Personnel from the District Reserve Guards (DRG) and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) successfully engaged the Maoists, recovering a large cache of arms and ammunition, including automatic weapons such as INSAS and SLR rifles
The police used dog squads to identify narcotic substances. They also checked vehicles and TSRTC buses to prevent smuggling of liquor, unaccounted cash and ganja.
This marks another success for the CRPF under Operation Octopus, the ongoing anti-Maoist operation at Burha Pahad along the borders of Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh.
According to the police, the burglars broke open the main door lock and sneaked into the house and flicked the valuables from the almirah post-midnight

The IT training will be imparted to them at the proposed National Centre for Divyang Empowerment (NCDE) at the CRPF Group Centre in Ranga Reddy district
The RAF, a specialised wing of CRPF, was raised in Oct 1992 initially with 10 unattached battalions and increased with 5 more units on January 1, 2018.
