Hyderabad police have booked a man for allegedly impersonating a constable and posting misleading reels online. The accused, who claimed links with political leaders and accessed restricted areas, is absconding, with special teams deployed to trace him.

The SHO was suspended from duty and a departmental inquiry has been initiated in the matter.

Identifying the cop as Adam Ahmed of Leicester Police, the group said that he used "excessive force against peaceful Hindu devotees".
