The Director of Public Health (DPH) in collaboration with other government departments had arranged for 877 mobile teams and identified 877 transit points to administer polio vaccines.
Out of the 16, 750 beneficiaries planned, 82 per cent i.e. 13, 666 healthcare workers received the vaccine at 324 vaccination centres across all the 33 districts in Telangana.
Unlike some other States, where a few beneficiaries reported severe Adverse Events Following Immunisation (AEFI), no such complications were reported in Telangana.
