On Friday, 720 teams covered 53,002 houses and survey teams referred 18,772 people with fever symptoms to Basthi Dawakhanas and Urban Primary Health Centres (UPHCs) to undergo Covid tests, a press release said.
The team conducted door to door survey to identify those suffering from fever and other Covid-19 symptoms. District Collector Dr Sharath inspected the survey in Devunipally village.
Inspecting the fever survey in 28th ward in the town, Annapurnamma said the State government took up the fever survey as part of the measures to control spread of COVID-19.
“Based on the survey, an assessment is made and in case of symptoms, we ensure the individual gets tested,” said a GHMC official monitoring the fever survey.
