Hyderabad police’s H-FAST team arrested 64 persons in 61 cases related to food adulteration in one month, seizing 15 tonnes of products. Commissioner V C Sajjanar warned of strict action, calling adulteration a serious threat to public health.

Hyderabad police will set up the Anti-Food Adulteration Team (AFAT) led by a DCP officer. The team will work with the Food Safety Authority and GHMC to prevent food adulteration and probe complaints involving milk, tea, chocolates, and other products.
