RIMS Director Dr Banoth Balaram said 22 of the 70 students who had lunch developed vomiting, headache and nausea. They were admitted to the institution and their condition was stable.
"Our trial results importantly show that these medications can be safely continued for patients hospitalized with Covid-19," said a researcher, Julio A. Chirinos, MD, PhD, Associate Professor at the University of Pennsylvania in the US.
This research is the first to assess the microbiology, risk factors, and outcomes in hospitalised patients with severe COVID-19 and secondary bloodstream infections
The findings, published in the journal Neurology, have the potential to identify and focus treatment efforts on individuals most at risk and could decrease Covid-19 deaths.
