One month after the death of an undergraduate student at the Jadavpur University boys' hostel allegedly after ragging by seniors, the recommendations made by a committee to stop the menace are yet to be implemented
Interim Vice-Chancellor of JU, Buddhadeb Sau, confirmed this, stating that it was the initial recommendation proposed by the visiting ISRO team during their preliminary survey on Tuesday, which involved an examination of different areas across the extensive campus.
All stakeholders of Jadavpur University including faculty members, students and non-teaching staff on Friday held a meeting and discussed steps needed to be taken to stop ragging on the campus and hostels.
