Police Commissioner Kalmeshwar Shingenavar has denied permission to hold a 'rasta roko' programme proposed by farmers in order to maintain law and order in the district.
Giving details of the children rescued during the operation, Police Commissioner Kalmeshwar Shingenavar said 26 children were rescued in Nizamabad division, 15 in Armoor division and 33 in Bodhan division.
The Collector, who held the District level coordination committee meeting of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, said consumption and peddling of drugs had become a big challenge for the government and society.
