A controversy erupted in the Kerala Assembly after Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan accused Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar of omitting portions of the policy address. The Lok Bhavan rejected the charge, calling it baseless and citing factual inaccuracies
The governor, who was on his way to attend a function, stepped out from his car and rushed towards the protestors loudly chastising the activists. He also expressed his ire at policemen for not arresting the SFI workers who showed black flags and staged a protest against him.
The Kerala governor made the remark while inaugurating the 'Hindu conclave' organised by Malayalee Hindus settled in North America, in Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday.
By calling for a fresh assembly session in December which will spill over to January, the CPI(M) will succeed in preventing Khan from delivering the customary Governor's address.
