Every year, the Samithi invites leaders of the BJP, RSS, VHP and other Hindu organisations for the procession. This is the first time that the Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be participating in the annual event. He will see the photo exhibition to be organised by Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi on its journey of 46 years.
Inaugurated by Vani Prasad, IAS, Principal Secretary, YAT & C Department, and Dr. Lakshmi Korra, IAS, Director of State Art Gallery, the event features works from both professional and amateur photographers of Hyderabad.
According to Field Publicity Officer B Dharma Naik, the aim of the photo exhibition was to educate the present generation about the sacrifices and efforts made by Telugu freedom fighters to free India from British rule.
The event was marked by presence of Nageshwar Rao, Account Officer, and Mir Firasath Ali Baqri, BJP Telangana Former State Spokesperson. Ghanashyam Kusum and R B Naik, the curators of the Eastern block of the museum were also present at the event.
