A 55-year-old female agricultural labourer was killed and 12 others were injured when a speeding lorry hit an autorickshaw near Raghunadhapalem in Khammam district on Friday. The labourers were returning home after cotton-picking work.

The foundation stone for the construction of 28 schools was laid in the first phase and in future such schools would be constructed in every Assembly constituency.

It might be noted two sets of nominations for the seat were filed on Tuesday on behalf of Raghuram Reddy in his absence by the party leaders.

It might be noted that Congress high command was yet to decide on the candidate and announce the name officially.
