The Telangana High Court has lifted the 2020 stay on Sada Bainama registrations, allowing the state to proceed under the newly enacted Bhu Bharati Act, 2025. The order came in a PIL challenging a 2020 G.O., which the court deemed infructuous following the new law.
The Telangana High Court adjourned hearing on a PIL challenging the regularisation of Sada Bainamas to August 26. The government argued that the Telangana Bhu Bharati Act, 2025, now allows processing of over 9 lakh pending land applications
The panel was dealing with a public interest litigation case filed by Shinde Devadas, a farmer from Nirmal district, challenging the regularisation of Sada bainamas
As per the latest guidelines, all the applications for regularisation of Sada bainamas should be submitted only through the Mee Seva centres along with details in a prescribed format
