Former Minister T Harish Rao assured the Telangana Union of Working Journalists that the BRS would raise the issue of journalist accreditation cards in the Assembly. He opposed GO 252, saying it unfairly divides journalists and harms their welfare.
Journalists across Adilabad, Mancherial, Nirmal and Kumram Bheem Asifabad districts staged protests demanding the withdrawal of government order 252 on accreditation cards. They submitted representations to district Collectors, arguing that the order undermines their identity and self-respect.
