The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) has strongly objected to the University Grants Commission (UGC) granting autonomous status to several engineering and degree colleges in Telangana State. The TGCHE, which has written a letter to UGC on the issue, claims that it was not consulted in decision-making process.

Degree Online Services, Telangana (DOST) in a press release said the decision to extend the last date was taken in the interest of the students.

Registration can be done up to August 23 and web options will be available from August 24 to 26, and they can be edited on August 27.

Students have to self-report online and report at the allotted college on August 9.
