According to the police, the burglar, tempted by the sight of all the liquor bottles, couldn't resist and started drinking. While the exact amount he consumed is still unknown, he became heavily intoxicated and eventually passed out.
On Thursday night, the cashier closed the account and left some cash in the counter for the following day's business. According to the police, the thieves broke into the shop after midnight by drilling a hole in the wall using hand tools and drilling machinery. They then forced open the cash drawer, stole the money, and also took several liquor bottles from the racks.
The body of the man who is yet to be identified was found lying on the road near the wine shop by local police. On information the police reached the spot and started investigation.
