Mancherial: A Mandal Revenue Officer or Tahsildar was suspended, while a computer operator was removed from service for their alleged role in transferring a piece of land to another person’s name by producing fake documents. An order to this effect was issued by Collector Kumar Deepak here on Monday.
According to the order, Nennal Tahsildar Sabba Ramesh was placed under suspension, while the computer operator Uday was sacked for transferring 2 acres of land belonging to one Shravya Reddy of Chinnavenkatapur on the name of Chirram Ramesh from Gangaram without her consent.
The land was registered on the name of Ramesh by furnishing a fake death certificate of Shravya Reddy even as she was alive and showing him as the legal heir of Shravya a month back. Ramesh is said to be a follower of Bellampalli MLA G Vinod.
Ashok Reddy, an uncle of Shravya Reddy, brought this to the notice of officials of CCLA who told her that the land was transferred to Ramesh at the Nennel Tahasildar’s office. He then lodged a complaint with officials at the Collectorate. Accordingly, an enquiry was conducted into the transaction and action was taken against the official and operator responsible for the wrongdoing.
