Telangana governor felicitates doctor

Governor paid rich tributes to Dr Raghu Ram on becoming one of the youngest surgeons of Indian origin in over 100 years to be honoured with 2021 New Year’s honours list by Queen Elizabeth II with the prestigious OBE

Hyderabad: Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan felicitated KIMS-Ushalakshmi Centre for Breast Diseases director and Founder/CEO of Ushalakshmi Breast Cancer Foundation Dr. P. Raghu Ram at Raj Bhavan here on Saturday.

According to a press release, Governor paid rich tributes to Dr Raghu Ram on becoming one of the youngest surgeons of Indian origin in over 100 years to be honoured with 2021 New Year’s honours list by Queen Elizabeth II with the prestigious OBE – Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire. The honour was bestowed upon him in recognition of his outstanding services towards improving breast cancer care and surgical education in India and to UK/India relations.

Dr Raghu Ram expressed his gratitude to the State government for giving him the opportunity and encouragement which enabled him to implement several landmark initiatives replicating the best of British practices in Telangana towards improving the delivery of breast healthcare in India.
