Hyderabad: The first-year intermediate public examinations for second year students are set to commence from Monday. A total of 4,59,228 students are expected to take the examinations which will conclude on November 3.
The exams will be conducted from 9 am to 12 noon and students will be allowed into centres one hour prior to commencement of the examination. Candidates have to fill their details on the OMR sheet between 8.45 am and 9 am and students reporting after 9 am will not be allowed into the centre.
The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TS BIE) has made elaborate arrangements including constituting 1,768 exam centres across the State. A total of 25,258 invigilators have been deployed for the examination duties besides 1,768 each chief superintendents and departmental officers were appointed. The Board also deployed 70 flying squads for the exams.
Given the pandemic situation, the Board has appointed only personnel who have been fully vaccinated. Wearing of face masks is mandatory for students and staff in the examination centres. Isolation rooms have been arranged in all centres for students suffering from any suspected Covid-19 symptoms.
The TS BIE has decided to allow students to carry their own transparent water bottle and a small sanitiser bottle to the centre. The Board also made necessary arrangements for sanitisation of all benches, furniture, doors and windows in the examination hall.
Students are not permitted to carry any kind of printed/written material, cell phones, pagers, calculators or any other electronic gadgets into the centre.
