Telangana: Intermediate students get early access to hall tickets via WhatsApp
The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education has introduced a WhatsApp-based system allowing students and parents to preview hall tickets for the 2026 intermediate public examinations. First-year students can access hall tickets using their SSC roll number and date of birth, while second-year students can use their first-year hall ticket number.
Hyderabad: Students appearing for the intermediate public examinations 2026 can now view a preview of their hall ticket. In a bid to enhance transparency and awareness among parents in connection with examinations, the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TGBIE) has decided to send a link on the registered WhatsApp number to enable a student or parent to preview the hall ticket.
Intermediate first year students can download the preview of hall tickets by entering their SSC roll number and date of birth. Similarly, intermediate second year students can view the hall ticket by entering their first-year hall ticket number and date of birth.
In addition, for second year students, the details of their first-year marks for passed subjects as well as the details of any failed subjects, along with the actual examination schedule, will be incorporated in the preview of the hall ticket. This is being done to enable parents to understand the academic status of their ward.
Parents have been advised to verify the details such as subjects, medium, group, photograph, signature and personal particulars etc. printed on the preview hall ticket. In case of any discrepancies or required corrections, parents can immediately inform the college principal concerned or DIEO/nodal officer of the respective district for necessary rectification.
“Considering that most parents possess smartphones, this WhatsApp-based communication system has been introduced to ensure timely access to hall tickets, early identification of errors, and improved coordination among students, parents, colleges, and district authorities. This facility will allow parents and students to verify all details before final use,” said Jayaprada Bai, Controller of Examinations of TGBIE.
The intermediate practical examinations will be conducted from February 2 to 21. The English practical examination for first and second-year students will be held on January 21 and 22 respectively.
The ethics and human values examination (only for backlog students) and environmental education examination will be conducted on January 23 and 24 respectively. The theory examinations will be conducted from February 25.
