Thundershowers lash several parts of erstwhile Warangal

Warangal: Several parts of erstwhile Warangal district have been witnessing thundershowers since Thursday morning.

Roads in Mulugu, Govindraopet and Venkatapur mandals of Mulugu district have been inundated partially due to rains. Power supply was stopped to several villages in the district. Due to rains, paddy at procurement centres got wet causing worry to the farmers.

Wazeedu and Venkatapuram mandals in the forest area are also witnessing rainfall. At Chityal Ailamma Agriculture Market yard, paddy grain was washed away in the flood. At Mahabubabad vegetable market, vendors suffered as the vegetables were also washed away in the rainwater. Cloudy weather prevailed in a majority of the mandals in erstwhile Warangal district.
