Hyderabad: The Telangana State Innovation Cell (TSIC) is calling students, startups and innovators to submit ideas or prototypes for the Telangana Assistive Technology Summit 2.0 to be held on December 3 to coincide with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
The effort is to make affordable solutions available to address developmental and cognitive disabilities. They should aim to help the children or the elderly to pursue independent living or less-dependent living, a release said.
Students, startups and innovators with an idea or a prototype in these areas can apply at https://bit.ly/2orBHMN
Moreover, applications are open for the second cohort of Acceleration Initiative for Diagnostics (AID) Programme of the Research and Innovation Circle of Hyderbad (RICH). This will focus on helping medtech entrepreneurs scale new heights.
The AID programme offers a platform to startups and entrepreneurs in the diagnostics sector. It aims to identify and nurture startups in the diagnostics space for nationwide as well as global impact. In India, the industry has built up a lot of momentum, especially in light of the Covid pandemic.
Companies have seen surging demands for technologies ranging from telemedicine to rapid testing kits and precision medicines for diseases. Even in the buoyant market, however, healthcare startups have slowed down by a common set of challenges – lack of resources, testing infrastructure, investors, and mentorship, a release said. The last date for applications is November 30.
