Hyderabad: The Vikarabad police cracked the case of two women who were missing for the past few weeks from Tandur. The police found out that the women were killed, and bodies were buried at a farmhouse in Chevella, by three persons who are now in police custody.
The victims Mahboob Bee and Abida Begum, were reportedly lured to Chevella by the suspects Kareema Bee, her husband Rahman and Nayeem, where they were killed at a farmhouse and the bodies buried.
It is learnt that Kareema Bee and Rahman took loans from Mahboob Bee and Abida Begum over a period of time. As the duo were being pressurised to repay the loan, Kareema and Rahman planned to kill them.
On the pretext of arranging the amount from a relative in the city, they first lured Mahboob Bee, to Chevella, on May 5 and later killed her at a farmhouse where Nayeem worked. The body was buried there.
Afterwards, they lured Abida Begum, on May 9 to Chevella and killed her. The body of Abida was buried next to the body of Mahboob Bee. The trio had collected the gold ornaments before killing the two elderly women.
Two cases were registered at Tandur and Basheerabad police stations after the family members made a complaint at local police stations.
The police, following panic in Vikarabad following the disappearance of two elderly women in the district, intensified its investigation and based on the technical analysis reached Chevella and checked for the clues when they stumbled upon a spot in a farmhouse where the ground surface was recently dug and covered.
The police took into custody Nayeem, who then admitted to helping Kareema Bee and Rahman in killing Mahboob Bee and Abida. An on-spot postmortem examination was conducted by forensic doctors. Subsequently, the bodies were handed over to the family members.
