Medak: The river Manjeera is in full flow at Sri Vanadurga Bhavani Temple in Edupayala, with water gushing through the sanctum sanctorum as inflows crossed 40,000 cusecs following the lifting of five crest gates at Singur.
While darshan for devotees has been suspended, priests have continued performing daily rituals to the processional deities after installing them at the Rajagopuram. Despite the closure, people have been visiting Edupayala to witness the river in full spate.
The spectacle of the swollen Manjeera at Edupayala temple, located downstream of the Ghanpur anicut, a medium irrigation project, was also captured on drone cameras, with the videos now going viral on social media.
