Hyderabad: Business tycoon Anand Mahindra has always had some very interesting pieces from around the world that he brings to the notice of his larger audience through his tweets. This time, he reminds people of the simpler times through a beautiful video of children playing cricket.
Well, it’s not just some kids playing cricket. It sure does have a twist in it. The video starts with a shot of some kids watching a cricket match on the television screen. However, the twist comes when a player hits the cricket ball on the other side of the screen. And soon, another child who seemed to be inside the television screen peeps from the TV frame and asks the audience to pass him the ball.
Yes, as you must have guessed, the screen was not telecasting any match but was actually just a hollow frame.
Posting the video, Anand Mahindra shares an insightful caption: “An old video. But it reminded me today of how the pandemic has forced us to put a ‘Screen’ in front of every activity. I want to crawl through that screen and experience the “real” thing again.”
Several netizens also shared a mutual feeling with Mahindra while some also got nostalgic. Some were seen praising the cameraman and also the kids for such innovative ideas.
“Indians are the most creative people in world. What an amazing idea by these kids,” wrote a user. “Ohh so this is called live match,” joked another.
“Wow,to the Managing committee of this tournament..! & to the maestro ”Cameraman”,he manages to place the entire place in a single screen telecast(sic),” wrote a third user.
Another commented: “Sir this reminds all our childhood time which is really disappeared in from today’s generation, what fun it was been in golden old days!!”
