Body of woman found at Ghatkesar

The body of the woman aged between 35 and 45 years was found in the bushes near the railway tracks by a railway key man who alerted the police

Hyderabad: A highly decomposed body of a woman was found near railway tracks at Ankushapur under Ghatkesar police station limits on Monday evening.

The body of the woman aged between 35 and 45 years was found in the bushes near the railway tracks by a railway key man who alerted the police. On information the Ghatkesar police reached the spot and brought out the body from the bushes on to a clear place.

The police suspect that some persons might have killed the woman and burnt her face after dousing with inflammable substance to conceal her identity. Senior police officials visited the scene of offence and are supervising the investigation. The police said if the woman was sexually assualted or not will only be known after the autopsy.

N Chandra Babu, SHO Ghatkesar police station said three teams were formed by the police to identify the woman and take up the investigation. A case is registered by the police.

The body is shifted to Osmania Hospital mortuary for postmortem examination.
