Contract and outsourcing employees of MGM Warangal Hospital to begin indefinite strike from Dec 10
Contract and outsourcing employees of Kakatiya Medical College and MGM Hospital in Warangal have served strike notices, announcing an indefinite protest from December 10 over non-payment of salaries for five months. The employees say families are struggling to survive without salaries and demand immediate intervention.

Hyderabad: The contract and outsourcing employees from Kakatiya Medical College (KMC) and MGM Hospital, Warangal on Wednesday served notices to launch an indefinite strike starting from December 10, over non-payment of salaries for the past five months.
On Wednesday, the members of Telangana United Medical and Health Employees union submitted strike notices to the Principal of Kakatiya Medical College (KMC) and the Superintendent of MGM Hospital.
Speaking on the occasion, the union State General Secretary, K. Yada Naik, said “For the past five-months, families of Nursing Officers, Lab Technicians, Pharmacy Officers, Operation Theatre Assistants, PROs, Data Entry Operators, Store Keepers, Record Assistants, and other staff are suffering due to salary backlog. They are unable to manage their households or secure loans. The State government should immediately respond and pay pending salaries”.
Yada Naik said that the State government is deceiving the employees by denying statutory benefits such as equal pay for equal work, regularisation of their services, PF and ESI payments, 120 days of paid maternity leave, uniform allowance, risk allowance and 35 days of casual leave.
