Cyberabad Municipal Commissioner directs builders to follow norms, curb pollution
Cyberabad Municipal Corporation Commissioner G Srijana has instructed builders and real estate associations to strictly follow construction norms, environmental standards, and regulatory compliance. At a meeting with developers, she emphasised safety measures at construction sites, dust and noise pollution control, and adherence to sanctioned plans.

Hyderabad: Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) Commissioner G Srijana urged builder associations including National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO), Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India (CREDAI), Telangana Developers Association, and individual builders, to adhere to construction norms, environmental standards, and regulatory compliance across all ongoing and upcoming projects.
She convened a meeting with the representatives of builders and realtors’ associations on Thursday and directed them to ensure proper safety precautions at construction sites and adequate steps to control dust pollution and implement necessary measures to minimise air pollution. She advised them to ensure construction activities comply with prescribed norms for control of noise pollution.
A press release said the Commissioner stated that Partial Occupancy Certificate (OC) shall be applied for only after completion of the building as per the sanctioned plan, and that compliance with G.O.Ms. No. 168 is mandatory.
Construction debris must be handed over to designated/authorized agencies and the builders have to develop buffer zones strictly as per the sanctioned plan, the press release added.
