Cyberabad officials inspect flood-prone areas ahead of monsoon
Cyberabad Police and municipal officials inspected flood-prone locations ahead of the monsoon to address recurring water stagnation issues. The joint exercise focused on identifying vulnerable areas, implementing preventive measures, and ensuring smooth traffic flow during the rainy season.

Hyderabad: For the ensuing monsoon season, field visits across Cyberabad civic body limits were carried out by the officials to review conditions and implement preemptive measures to prevent water stagnation on roads and avoid traffic disruptions.
Cyberabad Police Commissioner, M Ramesh, along with Cyberabad Municipal Commissioner G Srijana, visited several locations identified as prone to water stagnation during the monsoon. As part of the inspection, they reviewed site conditions with engineering department officials and issued recommendations on actions required.
The officials’ team inspected areas near Care Hospital at Malcolm Lake – Biodiversity Junction in the IT corridor, where roads get affected by flooding during heavy rains. They also identified monsoon-related water stagnation points at Hyderabad Central University Road and Kondapur’s Harsha Toyota Showroom Junction, among other locations, and instructed officials to take steps towards a permanent solution, according to a press release.
Officials said water stagnation during the monsoon contributes to traffic jams and inconveniences the public. They stated that municipal authorities, police and engineering departments are coordinating to identify problematic areas in advance and taking measures to support the smooth movement of public transport and reduce disruption during the monsoon.
The Serilingampally Zonal Commissioner, Narayana Amit, Kukatpally DCP Rituraj, ADCP Hanumanth Rao and other officials took part in the visit.
