Warangal Urban: CPI State secretariat member Takkallapally Srinivas Rao has made a scathing attack on former minister Eatala Rajender for his ‘decision’ to join the ‘fascist BJP’ and termed the tainted leader as an ‘opportunist’ for his earlier statements that he was a Leftist.

Addressing a party meeting presided over by district secretary Mekala Ravi here on Saturday, Srinivas Rao said, “It is a historic blunder being made by Etala Rajender. He has lost his credibility and he is no more a secularist and Leftist. He is joining the BJP only to protect his illegally amassed assets,” Rao said and added that the BJP had become a shelter for the people or leaders who were facing the corruption charges and involved in serious financial frauds and scams.

“TDP leaders Sujana Chowdary and CM Ramesh joined the BJP as the Enforcement Director (ED) had started a probe into their illegal assets.  Similarly, Eatala who was facing the allegations of encroachment of the assigned lands is joining the BJP to save his skin,” Rao alleged.

The BJP is trying to use leaders like Eatala as pawns to spread and implement their fascist and religious extremist agenda across the country. CPI district assistant secretary Karre Bikshapathi, city secretary Sheikh Bashmiya, district leaders Thota Bikshapati, Gannarpu Ramesh, Bussa Ravinder, Maddela Ellesh and Dandu Laxman attended the meeting.
